You may have noticed a new addition to the subdivision at Rauch Park. We are pleased to announce that Briarcliff HOA is now part of the non-profit Little Free Library network.
Located along the fence toward the creek side, the little wooden structure is a free book-sharing box where anyone may take a book or share a book at any time. It functions on the honor system. You do not need to share a book in order to take one. If you take a book or two from a little library, try to bring some to share at some other point.
The mission of Little Free Library is ?to be a catalyst for building community, inspiring readers and expanding book access for all?. Our beautiful Rauch Park is the perfect spot to house the Briarcliff HOA library. There are Little Free Libraries in all 50 states, in 91 countries and on every continent except Antarctica. More than 120 million books have been shared in Little Free Libraries across the world.
Little Free Library book-sharing boxes are open seven days a week, 24 hours a day. We have started ours with a variety of books suitable for all ages and will have a volunteer monitor to make sure that options for all age groups continue to be available.
I would like to thank Dan Gordon for volunteering his time and resources to create, build and place the structure. As we enter the summer season, your HOA Board is hopeful that you find many opportunities to visit Rauch Park and take some time to browse the offered selections for yourself.
